한국 글로벌 기업의 미국 법인에서 지게차 운전자를 모집합니다. 지게차 운전자는 지게차와 전동 팔레트 잭(EPJ) 등을 이용해 제품의 상·하차, 이동, 피킹 및 재고 정리 업무를 수행하며, 안전하고 정확한 창고 운영을 담당합니다.

 

근무지: Matteson, IL

급여: 기본 시급 $19.69 ~ $20.28 / hour (교대 근무 추가 수당 $0.50~1.50 / hour)

근무 시간: 1. Weekday / 1st Shift (Mon-Thu) 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM 

                      2. Weekend / 2nd Shift (Mon-Thu) 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM

                    3. Weekend / Day Time Shift (Fri-Sun) 7:30 AM – 8:30 PM

                    4. Weekend / Night Time Shift (Fri-Sun) 7:30 PM - 8:30 AM

주요 업무

A. 창고 운영 업무 (Warehouse Operations)

- 입식형(Stand- up) 또는 좌식형(Sit- down) 지게차를 안전하게 운전하여 제품을 이동, 상차, 하차, 피킹 및 적재합니다.

- 주문 처리를 위해 수작업으로 제품 박스를 피킹하는 업무를 수행합니다.

- 필요에 따라 전동 팔레트 잭(EPJ) 등 다양한 물류 장비를 사용합니다.

- 지정된 보관 구역에 재고를 보충하고 제품이 정확한 위치에 보관되도록 관리합니다.

- 출하 기준에 맞춰 제품을 팔레트에 적재하고 랩으로 포장한 뒤 출하 대기 장소에 배치합니다.

- 지시에 따라 실제 재고 조사 및 순환 재고 조사(Cycle Count)를 지원합니다.

 

B. 품질 및 규정 준수 (Quality & Compliance)

- 모든 제품과 출고 물품을 육안으로 검사하고 품질을 확인하여 오류와 제품 손상을 방지합니다.

- 출고되는 화물의 상태를 점검합니다.

- 라벨 오류 및 제품 수량 부족 문제를 확인하고 해결합니다.

- 회사 규정, OSHA 안전 기준 및 개인 보호 장비(PPE) 착용 규정을 준수합니다.

- 지게차 운전 및 위험물 취급과 관련된 필수 안전 교육과 규정 준수 교육에 참여합니다.

- 창고를 깨끗하고 정돈된 안전한 상태로 유지합니다.

 

C. 팀워크 및 의사소통 (Team Collaboration & Communication)

- 창고 직원, 팀 리더 및 관리자와 협력하여 일일 생산성과 업무 목표를 달성합니다.

- 제품 결함, 재고 문제 또는 작업 중 발생한 문제를 관리자에게 신속하게 보고합니다.

- 긍정적인 팀워크를 보여주고 지속적인 업무 개선 문화에 기여합니다.

- 회사가 필요하다고 지정하는 기타 관련 업무를 수행합니다.

 

자격 요건

- 고등학교 졸업장 또는 GED(미국 고졸 검정고시) 또는 이에 상응하는 관련 경력

- 최소 6개월 이상의 창고 또는 물류센터 관련 근무 경력

- 기본적인 수학 및 읽기 능력

- 지게차와 전동 팔레트 잭을 포함한 물류 장비 운전 능력

- 세부 사항에 주의를 기울이고 빠르게 진행되는 환경에서 여러 업무를 처리할 수 있는 능력

- 문제 해결 능력 및 원활한 대인관계 능력

- 안전 및 작업 기준을 준수하면서 업무를 수행할 수 있는 능력

- 문서 및 구두 지시를 이해하고 따를 수 있는 능력

 

우대 자격 요건

- 물량이 많고 업무 속도가 빠른 창고 또는 물류 환경에서 근무한 경험

- 여러 종류의 지게차 및 물류 장비를 운전한 경험

- 창고관리시스템(WMS) 사용 경험

- 전자 기록 관리 및 라벨 출력 시스템 사용 경험

- 고객 운영팀 및 재고 관리팀과 협업한 경험

 

신체적 요구 사항

- 장시간 서 있거나 걸을 수 있어야 합니다. (근무조에 따라 최대 10시간)

- 필요에 따라 앉기, 서기, 걷기, 허리 굽히기, 몸 숙이기, 무릎 꿇기, 쪼그려 앉기 또는 기어 다니기

- 계단, 사다리 및 작업용 발판을 오르내릴 수 있어야 합니다.

- 지상 및 높은 랙 보관 구역을 자주 이동할 수 있어야 합니다.

- 팔과 손을 머리 위쪽 또는 허리 아래쪽으로 뻗을 수 있어야 합니다.

- 최대 50파운드(약 22.7kg)의 물건을 들어 올리거나 운반하고 밀거나 당길 수 있어야 합니다.

- 경우에 따라 다른 사람의 도움을 받거나 받지 않고 더 무거운 물건을 들어 올릴 수 있어야 합니다.

- 장비, 도구 및 키보드를 조작할 수 있는 손의 세밀한 움직임과 손재주가 필요합니다.

- 물건을 잡거나 다루는 손과 손가락의 사용이 빈번합니다.

- 가까운 거리와 먼 거리를 명확하게 볼 수 있어야 하며 주변 시야, 거리 감각 및 초점 조절 능력이 필요합니다.

- 소음이 있는 환경에서 구두 지시, 경보음 및 장비 신호를 듣고 이해할 수 있어야 합니다.

 

근무 환경

이 직무는 창고 및 물류센터 환경에서 근무합니다.

[Matteson, IL] Hiring Forklift Operator

 

Position Overview

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts, electric pallet jacks (EPJ), and other material handling equipment (MHE) to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory management in support of daily warehouse operations. This role supports daily warehouse operations through loading, unloading, picking, and consolidation of products while upholding CJ Logistics America’s safety and quality standards. 

 

Location: Matteson, IL

Pay: Base Hourly Range $19.69 ~ $20.28 / hour (Shift Differential $0.50~1.50 / hour)

Work Schedule: 1. Weekday / 1st Shift (Mon-Thu) 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM 

                                      2. Weekend / 2nd Shift (Mon-Thu) 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM

                                    3. Weekend / Day Time Shift (Fri-Sun) 7:30 AM – 8:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

※ Warehouse Operations

- Safely operate stand-up and/or sit-down forklifts to move, load, unload, pick, put away, and consolidate products.

- Conduct manual case picking and other material handling tasks as needed for order fulfillment.  This may include utilizing other forms of MHE such as, but not limited to, an EPJ.

- Replenish inventory in appropriate storage bays and maintain accurate product placement.

- Prepare products for shipment, including palletizing, wrapping, and staging in accordance with shipping requirements.

- Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts as directed.

※ Quality & Compliance

- Perform visual inspections and quality checks on all products and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.

- Conduct audits of outbound loads, resolving labeling discrepancies and addressing shortages.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company policies, OSHA safety requirements, and PPE protocols.

- Participate in required safety and compliance training, including forklift and hazardous material handling.

※ Team Collaboration & Communication

- Coordinate with warehouse associates, leads, and supervisors to achieve daily productivity and service targets.

- Communicate product defects, inventory issues, or operational concerns promptly to management.

- Demonstrate positive teamwork and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Required Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent – or equivalent relevant experience.

- At least six (6) months of related warehouse or distribution experience.

- Basic math and reading skills.

- Ability to operate material handling equipment including, but not limited to a forklift and electric pallet jack.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to perform essential duties while adhering to safety and operational standards.

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

 

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in a high-volume, fast-paced warehouse or logistics environments.

- Prior experience with multiple types of forklifts and material handling equipment.

- Prior experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).

- Familiarity with electronic record-keeping and label printing systems.

- Experience collaborating with customer operations and inventory teams.

 

Physical Requirements

This position requires physical ability to:

- Stand and/or walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours, depending on shift)

- Sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed

- Climb stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds at various heights including ground-level and racking zones frequently

- Reach with hands and arms overhead and below waist level

- Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds

- Occasionally lift heavier items with or without assistance

- Use fine motor skills/manual dexterity to operate equipment, tools, or keyboards

- Frequently use hands and fingers to handle, grasp, or control objects

- See clearly at close range and at distance, with peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

- Hear and understand verbal instructions, alarms, and equipment signals in a noisy environment

 

Work Environment

This position operates in a warehouse and distribution center environment.  The employee is frequently exposed to:

- Varying temperatures, including but not limited to refrigerated or non-climate-controlled areas

- Loud noise levels, such as machinery, forklifts, and conveyor systems

- Dust, odors, and airborne particles

- Concrete flooring and moving mechanical equipment

- Frequent exposure to powered industrial vehicles and warehouse traffic

The employee is required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests.

 

Location/Remote Eligibility

This role may be performed on-site only. 

 

Schedule

Work hours may vary by shift assignment and may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime based on business needs.
