Position:  Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Location: Sumter, SC 29153 (Onsite)

Duration: Full time / Direct Hire

 

Ideal Candidate:

Dynamic leader who can oversee the site as an EHS expert.

Strategic with a plan to bring the safety standards to the fullest extent in a highly regulated, high volume manufacturing environment!

 

Education and Experience:

Minimum Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical), Industrial Hygiene, or a related technical discipline.

 

Preferred:

Advanced or professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent.

ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 lead auditor experience.

Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.

 

Minimum Experience:

8–10 years of progressive EH&S experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated experience leading EH&S teams and influencing senior site leadership.

Proven experience managing complex regulatory programs and agency interactions.

Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, chemical, or similarly regulated industries preferred.

 

Basic Knowledge and Skills

Proficient / Working Knowledge:

EH&S regulatory compliance and management systems

Environmental permitting and reporting

Continuous improvement methodologies

Data analysis and performance metrics

Training strategy and delivery
