Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Inspection Supervisor

Working Location: Matteson, IL

Schedule: Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (6 days/week), including a 30-minute lunch break and a 30-minute dinner break.

Pay Rate: $24.00/hour (Overtime pay after 40 hours/week)  Approx. $100,000–$110,000/year

Position Summary:

The Quality Control (QC) Inspection Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing quality inspection activities to ensure products meet company standards, customer requirements, and manufacturing specifications. This role leads the QC inspection team, monitors quality performance, identifies quality issues, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to maintain consistent product quality and operational excellence.

 

The QC Inspection Supervisor works closely with production, engineering, and cross-functional teams to investigate defects, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with quality procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Inspection Management

Supervise daily QC inspection activities and ensure inspection processes are performed according to established standards and procedures.

Review inspection results and verify product quality compliance throughout the manufacturing process.

Manage inspection schedules, priorities, and workload assignments for QC team members. Ensure accurate documentation of inspection records, quality reports, and defect tracking.

2. Quality Issue Resolution & Improvement

Analyze quality issues, defects, and customer complaints to identify root causes.

Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities and follow up on improvement plans.

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality concerns and prevent recurrence.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.

3. Team Leadership & Training

Provide guidance, training, and support to QC inspectors.

Monitor team performance and ensure compliance with quality procedures and safety requirements.

Develop and maintain a strong quality-focused work environment.

4. Quality Data Analysis & Reporting

Monitor quality KPIs, inspection results, defect rates, and process performance.

Prepare quality reports and communicate findings to management and relevant departments.

Identify trends and recommend improvement actions based on quality data analysis.

5. Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements, and manufacturing procedures.

Maintain inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation.

Support internal and external audits as needed.

Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

3+ years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or manufacturing inspection.

Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

Strong understanding of quality inspection processes, defect analysis, and corrective actions.

Experience with quality tools such as 5 Why, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and SPC preferred.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in automotive, battery, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing industries.

Experience with ISO quality standards (ISO 9001/IATF 16949) preferred.

Korean/English bilingual communication skills preferred.

Experience working with global manufacturing teams is a plus.

일일 QC 검사 업무를 관리하고, 정해진 품질 기준 및 절차에 따라 검사 프로세스가 운영되도록 감독합니다.

검사 결과를 검토하고 제조 공정 전반에 걸쳐 제품 품질 기준 준수 여부를 확인합니다.

QC 검사 인력의 업무 일정, 우선순위 및 작업 배정을 관리합니다.

검사 기록, 품질 보고서 및 불량 현황 데이터를 정확하게 관리합니다.

2. 품질 문제 해결 및 개선 활동 (Quality Issue Resolution & Improvement)

품질 문제, 불량 및 고객 클레임을 분석하여 근본 원인을 파악합니다.

CAPA(시정 및 예방 조치) 활동을 주도하고 개선 계획의 진행 상황을 관리합니다.

생산팀 및 엔지니어링팀과 협업하여 품질 문제를 해결하고 재발 방지 활동을 추진합니다.

제품 품질 및 생산 공정 효율성 향상을 위한 지속적인 개선 활동을 지원합니다.

3. 팀 리더십 및 교육 (Team Leadership & Training)

QC 검사원에게 업무 지침, 교육 및 지원을 제공합니다.

팀 성과를 관리하고 품질 절차 및 안전 기준 준수 여부를 확인합니다.

품질 중심의 업무 환경을 구축하고 팀 역량 향상을 지원합니다.

4. 품질 데이터 분석 및 보고 (Quality Data Analysis & Reporting)

품질 KPI, 검사 결과, 불량률 및 공정 성능 데이터를 모니터링합니다.

품질 관련 보고서를 작성하고 주요 결과를 경영진 및 관련 부서에 공유합니다.

품질 데이터 분석을 통해 개선 방향을 도출하고 실행 방안을 제안합니다.

5. 품질 기준 준수 및 문서 관리 (Compliance & Documentation)

회사 품질 기준, 고객 요구사항 및 제조 절차 준수를 관리합니다.

검사 절차서, 작업 지침서 및 품질 관련 문서를 유지 및 관리합니다.

내부 및 외부 품질 심사(Audit) 업무를 지원합니다.

자격 요건 (Requirements / Qualifications)

공학, 품질 관리, 제조 관련 분야 학사 학위 소지자 우대

Quality Control(QC), Quality Assurance(QA) 또는 제조 검사 관련 경력 3년 이상

QC 팀 관리 또는 리더 경험 보유자 우대

품질 검사 프로세스, 불량 분석 및 개선 조치에 대한 이해

5 Why, Root Cause Analysis(근본 원인 분석), CAPA, SPC 등 품질 개선 도구 활용 경험 우대

기술 도면, 제품 사양 및 품질 기준을 이해하고 해석할 수 있는 능력
